1. Reference your G/1733/3 (TOO 141430H ..ugust), G/359 TOO 150210 .ug and G/360 TOO 151030 Aug. Units of

British Fleet should reach Hongkong on August 26.

2.

If BAG are convinced (repeat convinced) that

there will be no opposition by the Japanese to BG's

arrival in Hongkong with Medical Supplies prior to above

date they are at liberty to go there provided they obtain

the consent of General Wedemeyer.

3. There must be no question of attempt being

made by BG to enter Hongkong with a show of force.

Para 2() (B) (C) of G/359 is however agreed.
